Thursday, July 21 at 3:45pm CST, Lyssa Adkins read the opening lines of a poem called Hieroglyphic Stairway by Drew Dellinger. An auditorium full of agilists leaned in to listen... "it’s 3:23 in the morning and I’m awake because my great great grandchildren won’t let me sleep my great great grandchildren ask me in dreams what did you do while the planet was plundered? what did you do when the earth was unraveling? surely you did something when the seasons started failing? as the mammals, reptiles, birds were all dying? did you fill the streets with protest when democracy was stolen? what did you do once you knew?" And then 5 amazing women Aanu Gopald CEC, ORSCC, Sally Elatta, Joanne Stone, Pia Fåk Sunnanbo and Jutta Eckstein told us through their example and their stories that we (particularly as agilists) have the capacity and the capability to do something meaningful! This is not about politics. This is not about religion. This is not about who is right or wrong. This is about our humanity. This is about our duty and our responsibility to our grandchildren, and our great-grandchildren. Are you noticing the unprecedented high temperatures? Are you heartbroken about the political divisions in your family? Are you sensing the heightened levels of anxiety, depression, and burnout? We know. So, what are we going to do about it? What are you going to do about it? Here are some ideas: https://lnkd.in/gBtuuyBP #purposefulleadership #purposefulagility #betteroutcomes #collectivewellbeing
